How long are the Clinitek Reagent Strips stable once opened?
Record “Open Date” and “Expiration Date” on each QC vial once opened. Bring to room temp before use. Do not use beyond manufacturer’s expiration date or more than 30 days after opening. Record “Open Date” on each box once opened.

What are normal urine dipstick results?
Normal urinary proteins values are less than 150 mg/d and are undetectable using urinary dipstick. The urinary dipstick only detects the presence of albumin and no other proteins. When urinary protein values exceed 300-500 mg/d, the dipstick test result becomes positive.

How do I run QC tests with the clinitek status+ analyzer?
If using the CLINITEK Status+ analyzer in stand-alone mode: •QC tests will be run as patient samples. Use the patient ID or patient name field to identify the control name and control level. •You will need to manually check the test results against the control documentation to determine if the QC test has passed or failed.
What is the power save feature of the clinitekstatus+?
The CLINITEKStatus+ analyzer allows you to run approximately 100 tests from a set of batteries. To achieve this, the Power Save feature is always activated when you power the analyzer by batteries.
