Can you use Inktense pencils without water?

Use dry Inktense Pencils (no water) to add the final linear details – especially in the foreground grasses. You can layer Inktense without smudging or lifting previous layers. Start with the lighter colours at the bottom before adding the darker colours over the top.

Are Inktense pencils worth it?

My findings: I see the appeal of using these pencils. Once treated with water, the pencil becomes an ink making your drawing look brighter and more vibrant. Being a big fan of detail, I found the definition of the dry pencil became softer once water was applied, and immediately reworked the detail in again.
